ABOUT US

Extended reality. Chile. Collaborate. Promote. Project.

We are South XR, a group of creative extended reality (XR) companies in Chile, that seek to collaborate to promote the development of the Chilean XR industry and its international prospects.

The project began in early 2022 with the support of the Chilean state through CORFO, the national development agency, and in collaboration with the Chilean Association of Immersive Experiences (ACHEX by the acronym in Spanish), Chilecreativo and the Chilean Association of Information Technology Companies (ACTI by the acronym in Spanish).

Chile has an ecosystem of professionals and companies, leaders in Latin America, with first rate professionals, in the technological and creative vanguard, prepared to answer to global market demands. South XR is a space to develop business by coordinating the competencies and specializations of participating companies, to create quality, creative, and innovative immersive experiences.

Eight companies initially came together to begin this association, and our doors are open to other national XR companies that would like to participate. South XR is conceived as an agency with open results, for the benefit of the entire Chilean XR industry, and seeks to expand and include other national companies. Companies that participate in the South XR project have different and complementary specializations; they all have ample experience and extremely high levels of quality in their products and services.

Several companies have joined other associations that already existed, such as the Chilean Association of Information Technology Companies (ACTI by the acronym in Spanish) and VG Chile (Video Games Chile).

The Extended Reality industry in Chile is currently in a phase of maturity and growth, with a combination of elements, such as the proliferation of companies in multiple sectors, their connection to the state, the development and use of new technologies, and the industry being more well-known. These elements make this a good time for the collaborative construction of this industry at a national level.

What do we offer?

At South XR we have a value offer for the XR market and for national XR companies.

For the XR market, South XR offers a group of companies that can operate individually or collaboratively to apply their diverse abilities and experiences to develop XR products and services.

For Chilean XR companies, we offer a learning platform, collaboration with other companies, and a showcase for international markets and hardware companies.

We offer a mainly self-learning process driven by the identification of an individual or group project, with mentoring support.
